This page will update you on the recent news about High Meadows Farm. For the general public the news will be quite tame - this page is mostly to update the family on recent happenings and events.
Cellar Support Posts Replaced - Dining Room. (January 2024). The posts supporting the dining room floor were replaced.
Cellar Support Posts Replaced. (November 2023). The posts supporting the living room floor in the Farmhouse basement were replaced.
Electrical Panel. The old electrical panel in the cellar was replaced with a new panel in the newer part of the basement. Most of the wires in the understructure were replaced. A complete inspection of the Farmhouse electrical system took place with repairs done where needed.
New Waterheater. A hybrid water heater (with a heat pump) was installed replacing the old waterheater. It was time.
Bathrooms Updated. (July 2023) The two bathrooms have been updated with new paint, flooring, and toilets.
Restoration Begins. (May 2023) The new owners are slowly restoring the Farmhouse and outbuildings. Cosmetic and reconstruction improvements are ongoing.
Farm Sold. (March 2023) The Farm has been bought by a family member.
Farm for Sale. (May 2022) With the passing of the family elders the time to sell the family farm has arrived.
Garden Shed Re-painted and Cleaned Up.
(June 2015)
The small shed by the garden has been painted 'barn red' with white
trim on the door and windows. The hornets nest has been dealt with.
Flooring still needs to be replaced.

Garden Planted. (June 2015)
The old posts around the garden have been re-posted, new chicken
wire emplaced around the growing area and a variety of vegetables
have been planted.
Fence Painted. (May 2015)
The fence between the milk room and the barn has been repaired and
painted.
