In the spring of 2023, the High Meadows Farm will be available for purchase. It will be listed with a real estate agent on May 1, 2023. There are 56 acres of pasture, field, and woods.
Farm Description. The Farm has a 8-room Farmhouse, barn, garden shed, greenhouse, and a number of smaller outbuildings. The Farmhouse has a kitchen, dining room, living room, five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Special Features. The Farm offers a wonderful view of the Presidential Range in New Hampshire to include Mount Washington. The Farm is located at the end of a road maintained by the town.
Area Amenities. The Stephans Memorial Hospital, Oxford Casino, and major grocery and department stores are all within a 15 minute drive from the Farm. Several ski areas are within a 45 minute drive of the Farm. The local High School is 15 minutes away. The regional high school, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, is 15 minutes away and the Oxford Elementary School, town hall, and post office is less than five minutes away.
Farm Recreation. The Farm has several trails on its 56 acres suitable for walking, hunting, ATV, snowmobiling, crosscountry skiing, and snowshoeing. The ITS 89 snowmobile trail runs along the southern boundary of the Farm property. Several lakes are in the area - ideal for fishing.
Recreation Activities in the Area. Three downhill ski areas are within a 45 minute drive to include Sunday River, Pleasant Mountain, and Mt. Abram. Numerous golf courses are in the area as well - including Norway Country Club and Paris Hill Country Club. Mount Washington and the Presidential Range is less than a two hour drive away. There are many hiking, crosscountry ski areas, and conservation areas within a short drive of the Farm. These include the White Mountain National Forest (western Maine and New Hampshire) as well as publically accessable conservation lands belonging to the Western Foothills Land Trust and Loon Echo Land Trust.
