This calendar provides the dates of the major events of the farm.
- 2008 - Last of the Chickens
For many years the farm enjoyed the presence of numerous types of chickens. In last few years of the chicken era the sole remaining chicken became a 'pet' following the old folks around the farmyard as they tended to the chores and flowerbeds. - 2005 - Last of the Sheep
The farm had a sheep flock for many years - probably about twenty years. This herd at one time was as many as 30 sheep. - 1975 - 2000
These 25 years were the 'busy' years on the farm. Animals of all types were found in abundance and the garden was producing a variety of vegetables. Visitors to the farm would always be greeted with some new variety of animal. - 1975 - The First Cow
The farm's first cow was "Bossy". She gave some great milk and produced some offspring as well; the first calf was "Tansey". - 1974 - Purchase of the Farm
The family business is sold and the family transitions from suburban life to rural life. The next three years would see many improvements take place to the farmhouse. - 1970 - 1974 - Farm Hunting
The family spent their summer vacations traveling through the state of Maine looking for the perfect place to have a family farm.
