Milk Room 2016
The milk room was adjacent to the barn. Every morning the cows would be milked and then the milk stored in the milk room until picked up by the milk truck. The milk room had to meet specific safety and health specifications. After some time the milk was no longer produced for commercial use but only for the family dinner table.
The milk room has served
many purposes since the ceasing
of milking activities. For a while,
as depicted in the picture
above, it was a chicken house (1990-2005?).
At the present time it serves as the farm's utility tool room.
