Greenhouse
Maine's growing season is short as the frosts can occur well into May. Planting usually begins for most crops either on Mother's Day or Memorial Day. Many families will start their plants early in the farmhouse or in a greenhouse. High Meadows Farm has a green house where vegetable plants and flowers can be started early and then transplanted once the danger of frost has gone away.
