Goats
For quite a few years there were goats on the farm. They provided milk and goat cheese for the dinner table. They were also invaluable for keeping the many rock walls clear of brush.
Goats provided a source of entertainment for some of the children. (photo probably circa 1990).
In the earlier years the goats were kept in the barn. Later a small goat house was built that could house up to five goats. A pasture was fenced in next to the goat house. There have not been any goats on the farm probably since 2002. The goat pasture is now all small trees. (photo Sep 2020)
