Farmhouse Dining Room
Home > Buildings > Farmhouse > Interior > Dining Room
The Dining room and the bedroom directly above is the original part of the Farmhouse. When first built, this was the kitchen. It was probably built in the 1850s. The well was at the top of the Upper Hayfield and a pipe ran to the kitchen sink to a hand pump located where the buffet is now. To the right of the buffet was the door going to the outside of the Farmhouse and to the stairs leading to the bedroom on the second level. To the right of the wood stove was a door leading to the wood shed and then further on, to the 'two-holer'.
